Perhaps the best analogy is thinking about acupuncture, where a small pinprick to the body can heal large systems. Given that we are killing this world so quickly, Rubicon Seven largely focuses on finding those places where a pinprick could have tremendous impact in regenerating the health of a region, as well as offering inspiration and guidance to the world.
With Bilopillya, Ukraine, located on the border with Russia, we believe we discovered such a place where we can transform the area to regenerative living strongly based on its historical past. Equally important, with the reformist regional leader Yuri Zarko we have generated almost a spiritual team – a family – that deeply cares to bring innovative ideas and potential that will profoundly improve the future and quality of life for its residents. We are creating a model of what can be done, using some of the best examples from cities around the world. And it is all completely driven by the amazing spirit and culture of Ukraine.
As we always do, Rubicon Seven has been engaged in an extensive period of research, relationship-building, and marketing so that we can build an effective long-term strategic plan for development and fundraising. We are not simply creating low energy and carbon neutral buildings; we are demonstrating a new approach for Ukraine, and for this reason we plan with extreme care.
